Needs & Requirements: how to drive projects to excellence starting from Requirements Management

Duration

2 days

Description

The Needs & Requirements Management course is an essential part of the ONE-SYS training course and focuses on the management of needs and requirements in engineering projects. During this two-day training course, participants will have the opportunity to learn how to effectively manage project requirements, improve the definition and tracking of requirements and comply with the ISO 29148 and ISO 26551 standards.

Course Content

The course covers the early stages of the development cycle of a complex system, focusing on eliciting requirements, minimising interpretative ambiguity, defining requirements management processes and optimising traceability and change.

Practical applications

Throughout the course, participants will have the opportunity to apply what they have learnt through theoretical modules and practical simulations. This will enable them to immediately translate theory into tangible value and improve the requirements management process in their projects.

Benefits

The Needs & Requirements Management course is ideal for professionals involved in defining and gathering requirements in engineering projects. Learning how to manage needs and requirements effectively is critical to ensuring the success of a project and minimising the risks associated with misinterpretation or uncontrolled change.

Prerequisites

No specific technical skills are required to attend this course. It is suitable for both those with experience of requirements management and those approaching the discipline for the first time.

References

The course follows the ISO reference standards for requirements management (ISO 29148 and ISO 26551) and is in line with the recommendations of INCOSE, the International Council on Systems Engineering.
